Well it’s not been a normal month by any stretch of the imagination. Nobody could have envisaged this when we set up our company 9 months ago, so as we draw to a close of our 3rd quarter – we want to say thank you everyone who has supported us so far and we hope that you and your families are all stay safe and healthy during this most trying of times.
We hope that in most cases where possible you are managing to work from home in the safety of your homes and enjoying (or coping) with the challenging of home schooling, adapting to new ways of working or just trying to maintain business as usual on a work front. Those working on the front line in dealing with this are doing the most amazing job of keeping the country running and looking after those most vulnerable - for which we are in awe and eternally grateful for.
We too have had to adapt to new ways of working. Luckily, we were already geared to work from home so have just shifted to 100% of interviews and meetings being online. We have, in the main stayed busy. A lot of clients making the decision to video and phone interview instead so as not to slow down the process – with in some cases just delaying a final face to face interview to appoint, and in others virtual onboarding to work from home from day one.
On that note - we have some great news for us. We welcome onboard our first recruit, Jane Taylor, to our team. Jane will be working with us to support all our candidate resourcing activity and ensure we maintain contact effectively. All aimed at allowing us to continue to offer the best service possible, as we have been busy since day 1 of opening our virtual doors.
So – that leads us to the latest trend that is a must – virtual onboarding. We have read the blogs, the checklists, taken the advice and manuals about this – but will be experiencing it for ourselves on Monday when Jane starts her 1st day with us. We will track our success and failures of this, and report back, but please feel free to contact Jane by phone/email/LinkedIn/ on her profile page and welcome her into the BT&S family.
We can’t wait…
