As we come to the end of our 1st Quarter of our 2nd year – and we are still working in the continued lockdown due to the COVID Pandemic, not really what we thought in March when it first kicked in. However – we have had an excellent Summer despite this. On the work front we have got ourselves back up to pre-COVID fee levels, and the step up in activity we saw in July hasn’t abated much.
We have seen the first of the Interim Assignments kick in for September – and placed our first 4 Interims during this time, one a week – the 1st since the lockdown started which we can only take as a positive. Our Permanent and Contract job flow has stayed equally consistent and continues moving in the right direction.
Whilst we are still seeing an increase in candidate traffic as the furlough scheme lifts and impacts the market, the volume has also come due to the new WFH home availability, allowing greater mobility. It’s great to see our clients have embraced the technology available and become more comfortable at remote onboarding and not physically meeting people before appointing.
We created a set of Goal Incentives as we started our second year – and thought the top level alone wouldn’t be attainable for at least the next 6 months – well we will find out on Monday if we have powered through that one! In the meantime, we have already stormed up the charts to get ourselves a wine tasting or cocktail making session (once we are able to) which needless to say, we cannot wait for already.
We are now looking forward to the next quarter, with even more positivity than if you read the news that is circulated daily, you would be expecting. There is still a lot of sad news which has impacted on people close to and around us, but it’s a testament to our resilience as a country and personally, as the BT&S team, that we keep ploughing forward and looking to the future.
