Bayman Atkinson Smythe Ltd is excited to present a fantastic 12 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity for an Accountant with a focus on management accounting within a prominent housing company based in Salford. This role will involve providing vital financial support to the Financial Controller ensuring that accounting services are delivered accurately and efficiently. The Role
- Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts in collaboration with the Financial Reporting Manager and Financial Controller.
- Take ownership of the reporting of Units and liaise with department stakeholders to ensure consistency of data across the business.
- Manage the monitoring and reporting process for lease rent arrears.
- Analyse income reporting for inclusion in the Management Accounts.
- Prepare a monthly void analysis report with commentary to highlight financial variances.
- Oversee the capitalisation reporting process, including detailed monthly journals and reconciliations.
- Support the Project Team to ensure timely and accurate lease data for FFR reporting.
- Assist the Purchase Ledger team with the calculations and reconciliations of communal rebates.
- Lead the management of Utility and Council Tax recharges.
- Coordinate documentation for internal and external audits and handle audit queries efficiently.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance environment.
- Part qualified and actively studying towards completing professional qualifications.
- Proficiency in Sage Accounting or similar software.
- Strong background in preparing accruals, prepayments, and journals.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Exceptional Excel skills.
- Strong numeracy and literacy abilities.
