Paying up to £65,000, plus excellent benefits, we are recruiting for a Finance Manager (Business Planning & Treasury) within The Calico Group.  The Finance Manager (Business Planning & Treasury) will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive business planning and treasury accounting service for the Group by developing, reviewing, and advising on the Groups Treasury Strategy and Policy. This role will also support ensuring compliance with key regulatory requirements across the Group.

 

THE JOB

This is a key role that is responsible for developing and preparing the Groups long-term business plan and ensures appropriate resources are in place to achieve delivery of their strategic objectives. 

You will be responsible for developing and managing the Calico Groups Treasury Strategy, which ensures that the business plan is adequately funded, reviewed, and approved by the Board on an annual basis.

This will involve:

  • Reviewing the 30 year business plans against actual performance
  • Preparing Calico’s approach to stress testing and working with the business to develop and review appropriate mitigations
  • Responsible for preparing the Group’s cash flows, reports to funders and security trustees and managing the day-to-day banking arrangements
  • Providing analysis of financial information to support regulatory returns
  • Supporting the preparation of the Groups statutory accounts
  • Writing a Board reports 

 

THE PERSON

  • You will be a Qualified Accountant with a working knowledge of the challenges facing the charities and housing sector inclusive of the regulatory frameworks the Group works within
  • You will have experience of treasury management processes and financial planning – able to model and stress test
  • Substantial accountancy experience covering statutory accounts, financial accounts, cash flow and credit control/debt management
  • Experience of BRIXX business planning software (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • An ability to effectively lead, develop and motivate teams, and to build and maintain strong working relationships, at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail.
