New Role! Interim Finance Director required asap to provide support to a growing division of an international business based in Somerset. This is a pivotal role within the business and you will work closely with the managing director to drive performance and help the business to operate efficiently to continue to grow the business. If you enjoy a balance of operational and strategic challenges and have a passion for manufacturing then this role would suit you.You will be a trusted advisor to the SLT and lead the finance function on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will include:
- Form and maintain appropriate controls, procedures, team, and systems to manage the risk appetite for the business in its current state of investment, growth, and opportunity capture.
- Drive performance as a true commercial business partner and exceed the targets in growth plans.
- Build and keep clear business performance dashboarding and reporting for easy interpretation of performance delivery
- Ensure constant monitoring of financial performance management, both day-to-day and strategic.
- Stock and inventory management with a strong focus on working capital efficiency and cash management.
- Ensure system automation and IT development to support a controlled, efficient, and measured environment.
- Help the business deliver against the plan through on-point KPI’s and forecasting.
- Assist the business to be more analytical, data driven, and outcome focused.
- Work with the business teams to understand the story behind the numbers.
- Support group reporting requirements, control, and risk management, ensuring a strong governance environment.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified finance director with a background in manufacturing. This is not a remote role so we are looking for accounting professionals who can commute daily to site.The role is for an initial 6 months.
