Due to planned growth and required restructure, I am delighted to be working with a charity based on the Wirral that are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a transformation programme across their business support services. This position will be offered on a 12 month FTC and will be hybrid, with both office and home working
THE JOB:
Reporting to the Finance and Operations Director, you will be responsible for the planning and reporting of the transformation programme within business support services.
Core duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and mapping all activities across the various projects
- Capture, understand and report any mitigations identified to risks and issues across the lifecycle of the programme
- Responsible for identifying and managing stakeholder engagement and communication needed
- Produce regular progress reports to Trustees
- Manage the costs and budgets assigned to the projects
- Plan resources required both internal and external to deliver the change
- Monitor progress and re-plan when necessary
- Co-ordinate with cross discipline team members to make sure all parties are on track
- To develop a robust plan within the timescales set with all dependencies understood
- Map and understand all key risks and issues associated with the programme making sure all risks are mitigated where possible
- Develop a reporting suite or use other project management tools to help track and monitor progress
- Understand all the stakeholders involved in the individual work packages and decide the level of involvement and commitment needed from each one
- Work with the Business Analyst to ensure all process maps and business requirements are captured and understood before moving into the design phase
THE PERSON:
You will need to be an experienced Project Manager that can plan and lead a team and process through to completion. Working for a charity with care at the heart of everything that they do, you will need to be confident and capable in your abilities with a sympathetic and delicate approach.
Experience and skills required:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)/Prince II or a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s level in a relevant field
- Ability to lead project teams and see it through to completion
- Proven working experience in project management
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Experience of project management tools
- Ability to develop and track budgets
- Excellent problem-solving skills
