Paying up to £28,000 + Benefits - Based in Heywood in North Manchester, our client has been established in the Northwest for over 40 years. Based at their head office in Heywood, they are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the finance team. This is a permanent job opportunity that will be office based. The hours are 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday (40hrs pw).
THE JOB
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, as Purchase Ledger Clerk your responsibilities will include:
- Matching, batching, and coding all purchase invoices
- Processing credit notes
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Resolving supplier queries over the telephone and via email
- Sending remittances to suppliers
- Confirming bank details over the telephone
- Ensuring invoices are processed ready for weekly/fortnightly payment runs
- Processing payments via cheque, BACs and electronic payments
- Account reconciliations
- Assisting with month end closing activities
- Providing support for financial audits
