Senior Head of People and Culture – Hybrid Working – Liverpool & Manchester

£55,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits

Our client is one of the most prestigious charities operating in the Northwest that are seeking a Head of People & Culture to set out their vision for the future.

This is a permanent job opportunity that offers flexibility and hybrid working. With sites in both Manchester and Liverpool, you will be expected to travel to both sites each week, therefore a full driving licence and insurance for business travel is required.

THE JOB

This is a newly created post that will give the incumbent an opportunity to define, shape and mould the people strategy, and help drive forward the charity’s values and culture, whilst also delivering organisational development opportunities.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Resources, the Senior Head of People & Culture will be a warm, people-first individual, and a good all-rounder.

As Senior Head of People & Culture your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on the development of the organisation becoming an Employer of Choice
  • Ensuring that value-led behaviours are present at all levels
  • Leading on the attainment and on-going management of Investors in People (IIP)
  • Developing strategies and plans to maximise employee engagement
  • Obtaining a place an in externally recognised assessment award
  • Leading on talent attraction, engagement, retention, and development strategies
  • Developing an employer brand
  • Developing and implementing the people strategy
  • Leading organisational development opportunities and developing people plans
  • Leading the people and culture team
  • Developing, implementing, and interpreting people and culture policies
  • Advising on employment legislation and terms and conditions of employment
  • Implementing performance management systems (PDRs)
  • Reviewing, procuring, and implementing, a new HR information system

THE PERSON

To be considered for this Senior Head of People & Culture job opportunity you will need 5 years + experience of successfully leading a People & Culture team. CIPD Level 5 or Chartered MCIPD is required, and charity experience would be desirable but is not essential.
